LIMITED EDITION PRINTS

Due to the scarcity of a limited edition print they are more highly sought after by collectors and, because they are printed using archival inks and papers, they are guaranteed to last a lifetime. All my signed limited edition prints are Giclee on museum quality fine art paper, with colours and textures that faithfully represent the original painting. They are produced by a UK master printmaker.

Limited prints are created in ‘editions’, or ‘runs’ and are hand signed and numbered by me to verify that I am satisfied with their quality. Once an edition has sold it cannot be printed again, hence their collectable status. A signed certificate of authenticity that outlines the edition size, number of your print in the edition, title and date also accompanies the print.

OPEN EDITION PRINTS

Open edition prints can be reproduced limitlessly in any number of variations therefore they are priced lower than a limited edition print. Offering affordability, open edition prints are a great way to get art onto your walls and also make cost-friendly gifts.

When buying an open edition print it’s advisable to check how and what they are printed on. My open editions use the same Giclee printing process as limited editions but the paper may be slightly different, although still a fine art quality. Unlike limited editions they are not numbered but are hand signed.

MAKING THE CHOICE…

There is no ‘right’ choice when deciding between open and limited edition prints. The main consideration is to choose the option that best suits your home, budget and preference. Either way, prints offer a perfect way to start or add to your art collection.

If I can help with your choice in any way or you would like a different size print to those offered, please do get in touch. I am also happy to advise about framing options.
